Dear Readers,

We are reaching out to provide you with the latest information regarding the grave situation unfolding in Israel. In response to an unprecedented and deadly attack perpetrated by Hamas, the Israeli government has declared war on the terrorist group.

Tragically, over 700 Israelis have lost their lives, and thousands more have been injured. Additionally, an undisclosed number of Israelis have been kidnapped and taken to Gaza as hostages, to be used as bargaining tools during this ongoing invasion and conflict.

Israel firmly asserts its inherent right to defend itself against any foreign invasion within its borders. The country has vowed to deliver severe retribution to the leaders of Hamas responsible for these acts of terror. In the past, Israel has faced criticism when retaliating against such barbaric attacks, but we hope that this time the world can witness the gravity of the situation and understand Israel’s legitimate need to safeguard its citizens and protect its homeland from any and all threats.

We appeal to government leaders in Taiwan and across the globe to stand in solidarity with Israel, recognizing its right to self-defense in the face of these egregious acts. It is crucial that we unite to support Israel during this difficult time.

Many are understandably questioning how Hamas managed to execute such a multifaceted invasion. For a comprehensive analysis, we refer you to the expertise of the JTCA Security Intelligence analysts based in Israel.

“Hamas initiated their invasion of southern Israel by launching attacks on Israeli observation towers and military base along the border. Simultaneously, terrorists on paragliders crossed the border while firing hundreds of rockets. Exploiting the chaos, Hamas militants breached the border fence, creating openings for hundreds of terrorists to infiltrate into Israel.

It is disheartening to acknowledge that Hamas terrorists succeeded in executing this surprise attack on Israel. The meticulously planned campaign, known as the “Hamas Floods”, was orchestrated by a select group of high-ranking terrorists, led by Mohammad Dief and Sinwar, with the approval of the Hamas politburo in Lebanon and Qatar. The operation was kept secret from Israeli intelligence, with mid-level and lower-ranking terrorists excluded from the planning to prevent leaks.

To prepare for the attack, Hamas conducted numerous military exercises simulating border incursions along the Gaza fence in recent weeks, unbeknownst to even the participating factions. Once the order was given, hundreds of young terrorists were handed pamphlets promoting “Jihad,” urging them to continue attacking Israeli civilians and soldiers until they either perished or were captured.

In a departure from previous tactics, Mohammed Dief employed paragliders as a means of psychological impact. Ground units crossed into Israel, armed with heavy weaponry, including heavy machine guns and SA-7 strella missiles.

Speculation suggests that the IDF observed these military exercises but assumed they were part of routine psychological warfare. The primary objective of Sinwar, according to high-level assessments, appeared to be obtaining more aid from Qatar.

The death toll has tragically risen to 700 and continues to climb, while the number of injured individuals surpasses 2,000. These are truly sorrowful days, as the horrific details continue to unfold. This conflict is reminiscent of the 1973 Yom Kippur War but on a larger scale.”

Responding to the urgent situation, the JTCA has immediately donated NT$1,000,000 to the Jewish Agency in Israel for their emergency initiative, “Operation Iron Sword” – ISRAEL UNDER FIRE: EMERGENCY SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL’S CITIZENS.
