Building educational ties between Taiwan & Israel
We were delighted to welcome Dr. Chiapei Chou, Executive Vice President and Distinguished Professor of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University to the JCC yesterday.
Dr. Chou was joined by Dr. Hsiao-Wei Yuan, Vice President for International Affairs and their Global Engagement team. After a brief tour of the JCC, we enjoyed lunch at the Kosher Culinary Lab, and discussed ongoing collaboration initiatives between our institutions. (stay tuned…)

Better than bubbe’s babka
e were pleased to recently deliver a freshly-baked batch of 65 delicious, warm, and individually-wrapped chocolate babka cakes to a firm located in downtown Taipei. These babka were described as being “out of this world,” “delicious,” and “ 好好吃 ”. (Watch out, bubbe! I think you’ve got a viable competitor…)

Exploring thousands of years of Jewish history & culture
We were pleased to welcome Professor Tsong-Sheng Tsan and 25 of his graduate students from the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary to the JCC Tuesday.
We explored thousands of years of Jewish history and culture together as we toured the museum.
Prof. Tsan is one of Taiwan’s foremost experts on Jewish history and religion. He teaches a popular course at National Taiwan University on the subject.
