‘Jewish Scholars’ is an oil painting by the Austrian artist Bernd Werner, painted around the year 1900. Housed within an elaborate gilt frame, the painting measures 10 x 12 inches (25.5 x 30.5 cm). It was owned by a Jewish household in Frankfurt a Main in the pre-World War II era, and passed down through the family.
